Nothing says Bermuda like the island’s unique pink sand beaches, but that’s far from the only thing the tiny island has to offer.

The island’s cuisine is a mix of African, British, Caribbean and Spanish flavors. It’s tasty and filling while making the most of local ingredients.

Grab a table at a quaint cottage-turned-restaurant with a view, or belly up to a beach bar.

From there order a cool Dark and Stormy.

The delightful drink is made by mixing Bermuda-brewed ginger beer and Goslings Black and Seal dark rum.

How to Ride the Bus in Bermuda

Served over ice, the drink is light and refreshing. It pairs perfectly with wahoo nuggets or a wahoo sandwich.

Heavier, but equally delicious, is a concoction called the Swizzle.

The drink was born at the Swizzle Inn. It can be served over ice or frozen.

If you want to try the drink at the bar where it was created, take a taxi or a bus from both St. George and Hamilton. The Swizzle Inn is right next to the road and a bus stop.

Keep in mind, the bus ride will be longer, but much cheaper.

Another thing Bermuda is known for is its fresh seafood. Many bars and restaurants serve what local fishermen catch and reel in daily.

Try the wahoo or rockfish on the menu and I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
