Summer vacation planning is in full swing!
If you’re dreaming of the pink sand beaches of Bermuda, visiting isn’t as simple as buying airfare and booking a hotel or a cruise.
Tourists actually have to apply to enter, and be accepted, to enter Bermuda. The country added the protocol during the COVID-19 pandemic because it’s been impacted so drastically.
There is an online form that needs to be completed, plus a $40 fee for each traveler.

You’ll also need to upload proof that you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Depending on the COVID-19 status of the country you may or may not need to upload the results of a negative COVID test within two days of entering the country.
If approved, you’ll receive an email with an authorization ID allowing you to travel within the tiny country.
I was required to apply and provide the results of a negative COVID-19 test when traveling to Bermuda over Memorial Day weekend. Keep in mind the requirements may change at any point.
In my opinion, the extra steps were worth the amazing beaches Bermuda offers.
