An app called Swimply allows you to rent a swimming pool near you for an hour, or an entire afternoon.

Or, if you’d like to make a little extra cash and have a swimming pool, you can sign up to rent it.

It’s easy to use. Sign up for an account and search for a pool.

If you’re renting, make sure you read the entire description. Some have limits on the number of people you can invite while others have rules on what you can and can’t bring with you.

Select your date and time and book your pool. Keep in mind that the owners set their own prices, so the price per hour will vary.

I booked a pool through Swimply earlier this summer, and it turned into a perfect afternoon.

I simply found a pool in my area. We showed up and knocked on the front door. The owner let us in through the fence and we enjoyed the water.
